Box of Wine

I’ve had two dinner parties this week that I’ve had to purchase wine for … I know very little about wine and always, in the end, default to the bottle design … I still harbor the belief that any winery with good enough taste to select a good label design, would have good enough taste to produce a tasty wine … I’ve been about 50% right … On my most recent trip to the wine store I saw a new boxed wine that comes in a box container very similar to Parmalat or Edensoy … It’s hard to imagine these boxed versions taking off with all the romanticism surrounding a bottle of wine, but there was a time when sodas were only sold in bottles … I did some research and stumbled on this site …

Despite the luxurious use of black and art-deco fonts, it still feels like cheesy box wine stuff … Though I do love the “Think Inside the Box” tagline and the ability to select today’s date as a birthdate when first entering … Next dinner party I’ll bring a box and report how it goes over …
